Medplaya Hotel Pez Espada Torremolinos

We had a fantastic time at this place with its great location right on the promenade in Carihuela. The beach was right outside, and we could walk for several kilometers along the sandy shore. The service was top-notch, and the staff catered to our every request, except for one member of the bar team and a female receptionist. The facilities were fantastic too, with indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, and fitness studio, among others.

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely 4-star clean hotel on the beach. The hotel room had a beautiful view overlooking the swimming pool and the sea. The hotel was quiet and clean, perfect for a relaxing vacation. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

Loved the place, had a fine stay in a hotel for a long time. The restaurant was clean for dinner, we ordered excellant dishes.

Bright hotel, exceptionally clean, attentive staff, location close to the airport was unbeatable. Airy units with garden. Good meal and exceptional service.

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety, no queues. Dinners were also great with different options each night. The staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel is conveniently located on the beach, with a local fish cafe nearby. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped. The pool area had comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas.

Nothing could have been better.

The venue is fairly large and clean with a great value and understanding staff. The rooms are huge with jacuzzi and the overall experience is great.

Location and cleanliness

The bathroom was very old and there was hardly any water coming out of the shower with great difficulty in washing long hair, and it took half an hour for the hot water to come out

The location of the hotel overlooking the Carihuela... The comfort of the rooms... The absolute respect of Covid norms with gel available everywhere and even gloves for the breakfast buffet.

The staff of the hotel (reception and other services) absolutely not up to the task... No basis for the customer relationship: just hello and monosyllabic answers to the questions asked, and this with all the hotel guests. No consideration especially since these employees were all of a certain therefore seasoned in the hotel business.

bed was spectacular. Excellent location, you literally sleep listening to the sea. Friendly staff.

The buffet wasn't much there. The meals don't stand out and are not what you'll remember most about the stay.

Soft pillows, dirty toilet cleaning and shower water had no intermission or was cold or burning.

Location - at the very beach; quite tasty (for Spain) breakfasts; nice view from the balcony.

We received the kettle and cups only on the last day of our stay!

The perfect location. The anti-covid protocols have been very well received. Hydroalcoholic dispensers at various points in the hotel. The service of waiters very correct, fulfilling the necessary measures of hygiene. . We were concerned about the buffet, but we have seen it very appropriate method but with very few staff waiters.

staff is great, it's a little short. You had to queue up for food and only one person to serve everyone. lot of time was lost in the queue and dishes, especially the bread, fruits and desserts, were exhausted. For the price you pay, I saw it as very fair.

We had a room facing the sea. It was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is located with direct access to the beach. Lots of restaurant and shop all along.

The hotel's restaurant does not offer freshly squeezed juice, yet Spain is known for its good oranges. There was also a lot of missing information about the dishes offered during meals, very little display so you often had to ask the cook what it was.
